Welch will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Main the Campground Cemetery in Winthrop, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen. Welch is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Patty Welch of Winthrop, Arkansas two grandchildren, Brian Welch and wife Rachele of Winthrop, Lauren Abney of Ashdown, Arkansas two step granddaughters, Heather Cox of Colorado, Britney Cox of Winthrop four great grandchildren, Henry Welch, Haddie Welch, Carson Horn and Laynie Horn special family friend, Nancy Coker and a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Addie Morgan Lambert and her husband of 50 years, Louie John Welch. She loved her family and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and was an excellent cook. She was a lifelong member of Winthrop Methodist Church, where she was very active and she was on the Campground Cemetery Board. She moved back to Winthrop in 1979 to help manage Lambert Drug Store, that was owned by her family. Welch was a secretary for Tulsa Public School System. She graduated from Magnolia A&M which is now Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. ![]() Geraldine Lambert Welch, age 99, a resident of Winthrop, Arkansas died Thursday, Februat Wadley Medical Regional Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.
